The location was perfect for exploring the city center, with shops and attractions just a short walk away. Our junior suite was spacious and comfortable, making for a very relaxing stay. I particularly appreciated the friendly and helpful reception staff, as well as the cleanliness of the hotel. One minor downside was the basic breakfast included. while it was sufficient, I would have preferred more options.

Unexpected hiccups and hidden gems
The staff were genuinely helpful, moving us to a lovely alternative location just a block away when our room was unavailable. Their kindness made a world of difference during a busy time.

The junior suite offers a comfortable ambiance, with a clean layout and a lovely marble shower. The location sits right in the heart of it all, with major attractions just a short walk away. A nice rooftop terrace perfect for unwinding after a busy day.
Breakfast is a bit misleading. while it's advertised as inclusive, the actual offerings are basic, pushing most guests to opt for costly a la carte items instead. If you're planning early outings, getting a timely breakfast can be a scramble since it starts serving only after 8 am, creating a rushed start for your day. Additionally, the Wi-Fi struggles within the rooms due to thick walls, necessitating two steps outside for reliable connectivity.

I recently stayed at Casa Antigua for business purposes and found it quite comfortable and efficient. The junior suite I booked was spacious and meticulously clean, providing a peaceful environment for work. The convenient water dispensers throughout the hotel were a nice touch, and the location was excellent, just a short walk from various restaurants and local attractions.
Some noise in the mornings from the restaurant was slightly distracting.

Excellent location and great service!
I highly recommend this hotel for its superb location and helpful staff. Everything is within walking distance, making it easy to explore the city. The room was spacious and clean, and the breakfast was delicious with made-to-order options. One downside was the parking situation. we had to park a bit away from the hotel, which was inconvenient.

missingWrote a review on May 06clean roompeaceful courtyardfriendly staffnoisy roompoor breakfast
The location of Casa Antigua tops everything else. It's a quick walk to Santo Domingo and many great restaurants. The courtyard feels peaceful, perfect for sipping fresh orange juice at breakfast. I enjoyed the clean, modern room with a spacious marble shower amidst all the local charm. However, being on the bottom floor meant no window and a lot of morning noise from the brunch setup. Breakfast timing was hectic, especially since it started at 8 AM, right when I needed to be out for early tours. The noise level overall could be disruptive, especially if you’re sensitive to sounds. Despite some minor issues, the staff were friendly, always ready to help. Overall, it was a solid choice for exploring Oaxaca, but there’s room for improvement in soundproofing and breakfast service.
